PRESS

"Thrown is visceral; Chris Drohan’s eerie sound design combines with staging, spectral lighting and language – almost poetry – to create an other-worldly experience"

Scatter Of Opinion (The Beggars Opera) *Music by Chris Drohan and Bobby Locke

"As the headphones turn us all into interchangeable heads, Gray’s elusive dialogue merges with Chris Drohan’s evocative soundscape till it's unclear what is happening when and where"

The Scotsman (Thrown)

"The music is the ultimate highlight of this production, with every ensemble piece on point"

Scatter Of Opinion (The Beggars Opera) *Music by Chris Drohan and Bobby Locke

"A beautiful musical score by Bobby Locke and Chris Drohan transports the action into the present"

UKTheatre (The Beggars Opera)

"Chris Drohan’s fine score sets the tone with rumbling cellos and rhythmic drums"

The Stage (FInders Keepers)

"The musical numbers are lovingly recreated and fill the theatre with sound."

ReviewsHub (All Or Nothing)

"The music is gratifyingly loud, heavy and intense; a true celebration of mod culture"

Record Collectors Magazine (All Or Nothing)

"A live sound rarely matched in any musical theatre show that I’ve witnessed"

Sardines Magazine (All Or Nothing)

"It is loud, rocking & has a real authentic sound to it. If you closed your eyes you would think The Small Faces themselves were stood in front of you"

Pleasemindtheblog.com (All Or Nothing)

"This goes hand in hand with Chris Drohan’s excellent sound design, complete with relaxing reggae and more disturbing, distortion effects. The audience members always feel an underlying sense of foreboding under the cosiness of the married couple’s bedroom, which serves as a perfect metaphor for the whole relationship"

A Younger Theatre (Don't Smoke in Bed)

"The sound design was excellent, adding to the humour and the specific aesthetic of the show, I would have completely understood if the Eurobeat music was found on records abandoned somewhere in the junkyard"

BroadwayBaby (Finder's Keepers)

"There is clever sound too - judiciously and pertinently underscoring the narrative, Chris Drohan does unobtrusive but very effective work"

Britishtheatre.com (The One Day of the Year)

"The clever sound design, by Chris Drohan, is used to make the audience aware of each new horrific thing happening to the world around them"
